
Mad Monster Mansion is the seventh playable world in Banjo-Kazooie and is accessible through Gruntilda’s Lair. This location is themed by Halloween and brings many difficult parts with it like a hedge maze filled with ghosts that are immune to any kind of attacks except the Wonderwing or poisonous water that will hurt Banjo and Kazooie when they dare to set foot on it. In the center of Mad Monster Mansion there is a Haunted Mansion with windows that can be destroyed. Behind each window, Banjo and Kazooie can find different rooms like the dining or bedroom of Gruntilda Winkybunion including many collectibles. Behind the Haunted Mansion there is a graveyard with a Haunted Church that must be opened first by pressing the switch on the ground next to the old fountain. As soon as the switch got pressed, Banjo and Kazooie must use the Turbo Trainers and reach the door in time or otherwise it will be closed again. The entrance to Mad Monster Mansion is located inside Gruntilda’s Head that can be found in the Cobweb Room, leading the Duo into a big room filled with lava, where the picture of Gobi’s Valley can be found as well. To unlock Mad Monster Mansion, Banjo and Kazooie must complete the picture of it that can be found inside a pipe near the entrance door of Rusty Bucket Bay and requires a total of ten Jiggies. Since there aren’t any moves the Duo can learn, the world features at least Mumbo Jumbo’s Skull, where they can transform into a pumpkin for twenty Mumbo Tokens. The transformation allows them to fit into small holes and walk on dangerous spots like poisonous water or thorns.
» Stop 'n' Swop in Mad Monster Mansion
The Mad Monster Mansion level is known as the only location in Banjo-Kazooie that holds two of the mysterious items of the Stop ‘n’ Swop series, which is the cyan and green mystery egg. As soon as the Jiggy of the Sandcastle got collected and one of the codes got successfully entered on the ground, an egg will appear and can be picked up. Once the code got entered, a short sequence will be shown for a few seconds and confirm the player that the code worked. While the sequence appears, it will also show Banjo and Kazooie the hiding spot of the mystery eggs so it’s recommended at this point to keep the spots in mind. The green mystery egg will appear in Gruntilda’s Bathroom inside of the Haunted Mansion and is located on top of Loggo. Entering the second code inside the Sandcastle of Treasure Trove Cove will cause a small new section to appear in the cellar of the Haunted Mansion. This little section can be accessed through the first barrel that was locked on the left side. This allows Banjo and Kazooie to enter it and to pick up the second mystery egg in the center of it, which is the cyan one.

JIGGIES
Jiggy #01: From the entrance platform, head over to the right and keep circling around the Haunted Mansion until you hit a dead end. Ground pound the wooden door to reveal a hole and enter the cellar to break through the tops of the barrels and to find a Jiggy.
Jiggy #02: Head towards the iron gate of the graveyard, but take the right before to find a wooden shed. Break through the door of the shed and hop onto the glass holding the Jiggy to spell out the word Banjo-Kazooie by hovering over each letter to free the Jiggy.
Jiggy #03: Enter the big chimney of the mansion to fall into the fireplace leading to the dining room. A big ghost called Napper is sleeping on the large wooden table, while holding a Jiggy inside of him. Avoid stepping on the wooden floor to pick up the Jiggy inside of him.
Jiggy #04: Break down the iron gate leading to the graveyard and Haunted Church and find one of the empty flower pots. Drop a blue egg into it to have it sprout flowers and repeat this action on all the other flower pots around the church, while the last pot will reveal a Jiggy.
Jiggy #05: Head to the entrance of the Haunted Church and use a gravestone to jump onto the roof. Walk around the clock until you see a small hole and use the tiny Shock Spring Pad to launch yourself to the weather vane. Stand on top and jump again to pick up a Jiggy.
Jiggy #06: Hit the switch on the ground to open the door of the Haunted Church and pick up the Turbo Trainers to sprint to the door. Once inside, head over to the organ where you will find Motzand and copy his notes by ground pounding them to get a Jiggy as a reward.
Jiggy #07: Head to the church area and hop over the wall dividing the church and Mumbo’s Skull and transform into a pumpkin. Walk past the shed and continue down the stairs until you reach the well. Jump inside and you will land on a Jiggy surrounded by Whiplashes.
Jiggy #08: Enter the graveyard area as a pumpkin and go left. Before you hit the entrance to the Hedge Maze, you’ll notice a small hole under the thorny hedge. Simply enter it to reach the first floor of the mansion and enter the pipe to drop down and pass through a Jiggy.
Jiggy #09: To earn this Jiggy, you have to find and collect all five different colored Jinjos that are hidden in the world Mad Monster Mansion. As soon as you have found and collected the last Jinjo, they will reward you with another golden Jiggy that can be picked up.
Jiggy #10: Transform into a pumpkin and use the slanted hedge to reach the first floor of the Haunted Mansion. Enter the window that you’ve shattered earlier as Banjo and Kazooie and hop onto Loggo to get flushed down, where you will find the last Jiggy at the end.

EXTRA HONEYCOMBS
Extra Honeycomb #01: Reach the second floor of the Haunted Mansion and head around to the left to open the window. Once done, transform into a pumpkin and head to the left to find a ramp. Jump into the same window and squeeze under the floorboards to pick it up.
Extra Honeycomb #02: Once you’ve pressed the switch next to the fountain, use the Turbo Trainers to enter the Haunted Church. Inside, head over to the organ and use the Flight Pad located on the unlit torch to get up to the rafters and to pick up the Extra Honeycomb.

JINJOS
Jinjo #01: The first Jinjo of the Mad Monster Mansion level is the pink one and can be picked up by breaking through the door that leads into the cellar of the mansion. Once done, enter the cellar and destroy the third barrel on the right side to pick up the pink Jinjo inside.
Jinjo #02: This Jinjo here of Mad Monster Mansion can be found to the right of the Haunted Mansion, where the old fountain is located at. You can already see the blue Jinjo at the top of the fountain next to a Whipcrack and can be reached by using the Shock Spring Pad.
Jinjo #03: The orange Jinjo is located inside the Hedge Maze, which can be found next to the Haunted Mansion. The Hedge Maze can be entered from two different points, while the Jinjo is located at the far corner of it. Be aware of the two Tee-Hee’s inside of it!
Jinjo #04: The yellow Jinjo of Mad Monster Mansion can be picked up by entering the window that leads to Gruntilda’s bedroom. On the top of the bed sits the Jinjo and can be reached by using the Shock Spring Pad near a chest. Be careful of the Tee-hee inside the room!
Jinjo #05: The last Jinjo of this world is the green one and can be found at the very top of the Haunted Mansion. In order to pick him up use the Shock Spring Pad in the second floor to reach the roof of it, where you can find the green Jinjo sitting on a small chimney.

WITCH SWITCH
Witch-Switch #01: The Witch-Switch is located at the rafters inside the Haunted Church. To reach it Banjo and Kazooie must use the Flight Pad on the left torch that is unlit and fly all the way up. After activating the switch a Jiggy appears in the eye of the big Gruntilda Head.
