Stop ‘n’ Swop II is a feature that was first introduced in the re-released version of Banjo-Tooie for the Xbox 360. This sequel to the original Stop ‘n’ Swop feature includes seven achievements that players can unlock as they complete specific tasks such as collecting the series mystery eggs or using all the transformations from Humba Wumba. In the original Stop ‘n’ Swop feature, different colored eggs and a large ice key were used to unlock rewards in Banjo-Tooie and Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. However, the real purpose of its sequel, Stop ‘n’ Swop II remains a mystery. Some speculation about the purpose of Stop ‘n’ Swop II have been circulating on the internet since its introduction. Some players still believe that Rare, the developers of the Banjo-Kazooie franchise originally planned to incorporate Stop ‘n’ Swop II into an upcoming game. This game would have allowed players to unlock unique rewards after successfully unlocking them all in the re-released version of Banjo-Tooie. Compared to the original, Stop ‘n’ Swop II takes on a new format. Instead of showing the collectibles on an item sub-screen in the game’s pause menu, they are displayed in a list that emphasizes achievements. In order to unlock some of these achievements, players must fulfill specific requirements. Three of them are obtainable by finding the bronze, silver, and gold mystery egg. Also, these eggs have a slightly different appearance from those found in the classic Stop ‘n’ Swop series, as they have three weird dots on them instead of a large and white question mark. Additionally, the locations of these eggs are the same as those in Banjo-Tooie for the Nintendo 64. Two mystery eggs are hiding in Spiral Mountain and can be found inside a small alcove that is located above the tree stumps and behind the waterfall, while the last mystery egg is hiding in Jinjo Village, inside a small frozen cave that is located next to the Digger Tunnels.

» How to skip Grunty's Furnace Fun

A clever trick using Sudden Death squares allows the player to bypass the Furnace Fun section and its long credits sequence. The trick involves intentionally failing a Skull Square’s question but instead of being launched into the lava pit, the player lands back onto the board unharmed. This allows the player to walk over every subsequent square without having to answer any questions or complete any Time Challenges. To use the trick, the player must stand on one of the two Skull Squares and carefully align Banjo’s right foot with the skull icon’s left eye. Then, they must enter the first person mode and align the bottom of Kazooie’s beak with the intersecting corners of the previous squares. Once these required steps are done, the player can press A to try the question and intentionally answer it wrong. The square will launch the player off, but if the trick was set up correctly, they will not land in the lava. With this trick successfully executed, the player can freely walk over every square on the board without having to answer any questions. Also, there are no negative consequences by using this trick, and the game will proceed as normal. An alternative way involves going to the most top-right spot possible on the Skull Square adjacent to a Musical Square and a Gruntilda Square at roughly the far left of the board. By facing the direction of the top-right corner and pressing A to try the question, the player can trigger the trick if they set it up correctly. However, it should be noted that while this trick allows players to skip a lengthy section of the game, it may also detract from the overall experience and enjoyment of Banjo-Kazooie. As such, players should consider whether they want to use this trick before doing so. This trick is not officially supported by the game’s creators, and it may cause glitches or other consequences.
