The Snowplough Form is the second transformation in Yooka-Laylee, located within Glitterglaze Glacier after players locate the Mollycool behind crumbling stone blocks in Glittertrio Towers and provide it to Dr. Puzz to power her D.N.Ray transformation device. The Mollycool requires players to use a Bomberry to destroy the stone blocks blocking access before collection becomes possible. Once transformed, Yooka and Laylee assume the appearance of a snowplow vehicle featuring a large blade positioned at the front, a purple grille, and a body primarily colored to match Yooka’s appearance, equipped with four wheels containing black tires and Yooka’s red marking displayed on the rear section. It features a dash ability executed by pressing the B button, which propels the snowplow forward with enough force to remove heavy snow piles scattered throughout Glitterglaze Glacier’s various areas. This dash function serves as the primary method for uncovering hidden collectibles buried beneath accumulated snow and requires precise timing and positioning to clear snow accumulations while maintaining control over the vehicle’s movement trajectory. The primary application of the Snowplough involves collecting five snowmen hats hidden within snow piles distributed throughout the Glitterglaze Glacier world for the purpose of returning them to their respective snowmen owners. These snowmen are Witch Snowman, Classy Snowman, Naked Snowman and others who have lost their lovely headwear and require players to locate and return the appropriate hat type to complete their appearance. Successfully reuniting all five snowmen with their correct hats rewards players with a Pagie. Also, the Snowplough proves necessary for completing a specific quest requested by Clara Lost, who can be found on the upper left side of the cliff area adjacent to the Icymetric Palace. Clara requires assistance in removing Corplet igloos from the area, which can only be accomplished through the snowplow’s dash technique due to the structural integrity of these ice-based dwellings that resist normal attacks. Successful completion of this igloo removal quest provides players with another Pagie reward. However, the transformation exhibits significant handling limitations due to extremely low traction on the icy surfaces that predominate throughout Glitterglaze Glacier, making movement and platforming more challenging than in normal form. Furthermore, any contact with water reverts Yooka and Laylee to their standard forms, requiring players to return to Dr. Puzz’s location to re-initiate the transformation process. This water vulnerability necessitates careful navigation around the numerous water hazards throughout the frozen world, particularly when maneuvering near lakes, streams, or other obstacles while attempting to reach snow pile locations.
