Lady Leapalot is a pig knight whose spring-mounted toy horse makes her immediately recognisable among the Knights of Hamalot. She wears magenta armour with a barred face guard and a helmet through which her ponytail emerges, bouncing on the horse rather than standing beside a conventional mount. She appears in Tribalstack Tropics, Capital Cashino and Galleon Galaxy in Yooka-Laylee and returns in Yooka-Replaylee. Her companions are Sir Scoffsalot, Lady Lootsalot and Sir Shootsalot, and their shared enthusiasm for treasure takes the group through all three worlds. Leapalot is the final knight found during the first treasure hunt, the passenger who wants a view from the House of Cards in the casino, and one of the four key holders around Shovel Knight's vault. Although she is willing to reward the duo for useful assistance, she is protective of valuable treasure and particularly anxious that Shovel Knight should not hear about her find. Her conversations connect the group's mock chivalry with their appetite for wealth, including the expensive meal she imagines buying with her newly acquired riches.
Lady Leapalot in Tribalstack Tropics
Leapalot waits inside Rampo's Treasure Chamber, the last destination in the original game's Knights of Hamalot search. First speak to Scoffsalot at the back of Tribalstack Forest, follow his clue to Lootsalot underneath the bridge into the Tribal Village, and use her riddle to find Shootsalot behind Rextro's Arcade Machine. His clue refers to a tomb beneath the world's ramp expert. Reach it by following the canal through the base of Rampo's Temple and entering the chamber below, rather than climbing the boss's ramp above. The quest is available before world expansion and does not depend on defeating Rampo. Inside, Leapalot is celebrating her treasure and planning a meal of steak and lobster. When the duo explain why the other Knights sent them, she abruptly claims that the riches around her are fake and made of wood. Yooka asks specifically for the Pagie that Scoffsalot promised, and she dismisses it as worthless paper, allowing the Cagie to open so the pair can collect it. This conversation ends the treasure hunt; the player does not need to return to Scoffsalot for the reward. Speak to Leapalot again after collecting the Pagie and she asks them to keep the supposedly false treasure a secret, particularly from the armoured visitor carrying a shovel. Her concern refers to Shovel Knight and exposes the pretence behind her earlier dismissal of the treasure. The room's Pagie is the single reward for following the full four-knight chain, rather than one of four individual rewards from its members.
Lady Leapalot in Capital Cashino
Leapalot next appears at ground level beneath the beginning of the casino's raised golf course. Her task is one of the four transport challenges undertaken as the Chopper. Obtain the Mollycool by lining up three Yooka-Laylee symbols on the slot machine near Dr. Puzz, give it to her and use the D.N.Ray before speaking to Leapalot in helicopter form. She addresses the transformed duo as a flying creature and agrees to explain her destination only through a clue, invoking the Knights' code to justify the riddle. The reference to a house made of cards identifies the roof of the House of Cards, the tall structure on the left side of the casino as viewed from its main entrance. In the original game there are 40 seconds to complete the journey. Ascend from the golf-course floor, cross the room toward the card structure and enter the landing ring on its roof with Leapalot aboard. Success pays five Casino Tokens. She calls the Chopper a mechanical dragon and associates its reward with a dragon's love of gold; afterwards, she comments on the view from her new position. The tokens must be picked up, and in the original Yooka-Laylee they count toward the Casino Banker's price of ten tokens per Pagie. Her fare is separate from the challenges reached by going inside the House of Cards, so simply entering that building does not fulfil her request for a rooftop destination.
Lady Leapalot in Galleon Galaxy
On Skull Island, Leapalot occupies the elevated ground above Shovel Knight's cave. The island appears when Galleon Galaxy's Grand Tome is expanded in Hivory Towers for 15 Pagies. Speak to Shovel Knight inside the cave to learn about the treasure vault and the four keys carried by the Knights of Hamalot. Leapalot says she is also searching for the vault and offers an equal division of its contents if the duo discover its location. Her key is obtained by using water on her armour and then following with a sonic attack. In the original game, learn Slurp Shot and Sonar Shot from Trowzer in Tribalstack Tropics, each costing 30 Quills, before returning to this puzzle. Take the water ammunition from the Splashberry plant near the foot of the slope and reach Leapalot while it is still available. Spray her armour until the chime confirms the water has affected it, then use Sonar Shot to make her drop the key behind her. Collect it and bring it to Shovel Knight. Her protest turns the situation into another pig pun rather than starting a separate battle. Scoffsalot's belly charge, Lootsalot's guarded key and Shootsalot's ordered attack sequence supply the other three keys. Once all four have been delivered, Shovel Knight opens the vault for the Pagie inside. Leapalot's location above his cave does not mean her key can open the door by itself, and her earlier Tribalstack treasure is a separate event.
Lady Leapalot in Yooka-Replaylee
Leapalot remains the final member of the Tribalstack Tropics treasure hunt in Yooka-Replaylee. Follow Scoffsalot's clue to Lootsalot beneath the village walkway, then find Shootsalot above Rextro's Arcade Machine before entering Rampo's Treasure Room through the tunnel under the temple. Speaking to Leapalot releases the Pagie there. In Capital Cashino, she waits near a pillar beneath the start of the golf course and still requests Chopper transport to the House of Cards roof. Her five-token fare now covers a full Pagie exchange with Cashital Zee, whose rate is five tokens per Pagie. In Galleon Galaxy she is again on the hill above the vault. Open the chest near the beginning of the slope, take the Water Plant's power and spray her to make the key drop. Replaylee guides show the water itself releasing this key; they do not require the original game's subsequent Sonar Shot. Collect the other three keys and return to Shovel Knight's door to enter the treasure cave. Because moves are unlocked and worlds begin expanded, the original move purchases and 15-Pagie expansion payment are not prerequisites for Leapalot's revised encounters.
Additional Information
The first Quack-Fire Quiz in Yooka-Laylee includes a question asking which Knight of Hamalot rides a horse, with Leapalot as the answer. Her bouncing toy mount is therefore part of both her visual identity and the information the game expects the player to remember. Her name describes that repeated leaping while retaining the Lancelot-like ending shared by the group; Hamalot itself is a pig-themed play on Camelot. Her pre-release Character of the Day appearance also drew attention to the instruction to keep treasure secret from Shovel Knight. The finished Tribalstack conversation provides a reason for that warning, since she wants to retain the valuable contents of the chamber while allowing the duo to take the Pagie she considers unimportant.
