Achievements are a special way to reward players for completing certain tasks, with the goal of encouraging them to continue playing through the game. Each achievement requires the player to complete a different task, ranging from simple objectives like eating a butterfly or using a Tonic to more challenging goals like collecting every Quill in a Grand Tome or finding all pirate treasures. Some achievements are earned by progressing through the main adventure, such as rescuing the One Book, opening Pagie Doors in Hivory Towers and defeating Capital B. Others encourage players to explore the Grand Tomes, complete character quests and try optional challenges, including transforming with Dr. Puzz, finishing a Kartos challenge without taking damage and collecting Medals in Rextro Bytes Back. Collectible achievements also reward finding Pagie Puzzle Pieces, gathering Quills, collecting Pagies and spending Q.U.I.D.S. Additional objectives involve equipping outfits and Tonics, using particular abilities and defeating enemies. Steam records unlocked achievements on the player’s game profile, where their artwork, names and unlock descriptions can be viewed alongside the remaining objectives. These achievements provide a record of progress and encourage players to revisit challenges or explore areas they may have overlooked during the main adventure. Players can unlock a total of forty-five achievements in Yooka-Replaylee.
